Brian Birdy, a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas, Missouri, and Washington, started his property management career in his family business, Birdy Properties. Under Birdy, the 46-year old company grew from a one-man office with 50 doors to a business of 50 employees that manages over 2,000 single family properties. In 2018, Birdy served as the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®) National President, and his industry designations include Residential Management Professional (RMP®), Master Property Manager (MPM®), the Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC®) designation from NARPM®, and the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from IREM®. Additionally, he is an approved Property Management Instructor for the States of Texas, Florida, Washington, Utah, and NARPM®

In his current role as the Senior Vice President & Director of Business Development & Strategy at Association Prime Powered By South State Bank, James oversees a dynamic team managing over $2 Billion in property management-based deposits and approximately $350 million in loans. His exceptional skills in strategic planning and business development are evident in every aspect of his role: as his bank is the fastest growing in the industry and his working on his team is heavily coveted by other executives in the industry.

James’s journey in the industry is rich and varied. Before his current role, he was a principal at Disaster Consulting Services, where his insights were instrumental in aiding management companies to navigate complex insurance claims. His tenure as President/CEO of Associa Colorado, along with senior roles in other property & HOA banks, showcases his leadership and deep understanding of the sector. James’s entrepreneurial spirit is highlighted by his experience in owning and operating a property and HOA management firm in Florida. His early career contributions also included work as a land-use planner/architect.

A recognized expert in property management payment platform design, James has worked as a consultant to several banks. His consultancy work extends across 12 banks in the U.S. and Canada.

James’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He holds two Master’s degrees: an MBA from Saint Leo University and a Master’s in Environmental Planning & Design from the University of Georgia. His foundational knowledge in Architecture was obtained from the University of Tennessee.
